Taipei Public Art - Collection

The theme of this work, “The Turning of the Wheel of Dreams,” expresses that when we pursue our ideals and realize them, a small force can bring about big changes. It is like a small gear turning, rotating one increment at a time, which can make an entire wheel spin, ultimately driving a car forward and taking us where we want to go. In this work, wheel shapes symbolize the character of a parking structure, and they are connected together like gears, reflecting a parking tower’s mechanical nature. Inside the circles are circular images of flowers, plants and trees made of colored hot-melt glass, in which the shapes of cars can be vaguely discerned, signifying that a well-planned parking structure can provide more green space for the community and residences, transforming our quality of life.
