On "The Railway of Time," a series of station signs carries us back to the train depots of days gone by, representing the collective experiences of the city, and inspiring us all to recall our own railroad stories. These station signs revive the long-vanished rail lines that once passed by here, connecting the thread of history, and standing as markers of the imagination. On top of each station sign, building-block reproductions of scenes from the past enable us all to relive the enchanting times when these stations were still in operation. Founded in the Japanese colonial period, the Taipei Sugar Corporation established a factory in Monga (now Wanhua) in its second year of operation. It was the first modern sugar plant in northern Taiwan. Closed toward the end of the Japanese colonial era, it was subsequently used as a warehouse, and in recent years has taken on new life as a cultural park. "The Railway of Time" includes an augmented reality interactive installation that allows us to experience a rebirth of the station through time. Using the QR code, you may access a website with valuable historical data, and experience the history of Taipei City along its rail lines.
