Shared Joy Concerto-Past and Present

In times gone by, the metal objects made on Datie (“Metalworking”) Street (today’s Xingcheng Street) fulfilled grand missions, either as parts of huge machines or as tools that helped people complete their tasks. In this artwork, metal objects, used auto parts, and other pieces are playfully assembled into a variety of interesting shapes and forms, reawakening cultural memories and former glories.
