ShiLin
A Cycle of Sixty Years: Formosan Pangolin and the Seedlings

Si-shan nursery cultivates seedlings for the greater Taipei City. What makes it more gratifying is that there exists a gradually disappearing armored spirit, the Formosan Pangolin. The artist uses stairs and pavement;pile up granite slab in the form similar to the scales of the Formosan Pangolin. By carving into it, the work expresses the unobtrusive nature of the animal and reminds everyone the importance of conservation and education.
