This installation represents the inner values of integrity that all law enforcers should uphold. The design is an extension of the three elements in “The Wings of Peace,” transforming the wings into a shield. Shaped as a prism, the central element of the work, “Wings of Abundance,” symbolizes that every student is a sharp sword meticulously forged by spring winds and rain. The image of many wings joining together represents not only the tenderness of “the people’s caregiver,” but also the solid shield of public security. The form “Take It to Heart” is laid out in a row like a book made of bamboo slips, engraving the core mission from the Taiwan Police College anthem in the work, and challenging the students to stay true to the initial aspirations they had when joining the police force. The base, “Solid Rock,” is composed of diamond-faceted shapes, symbolizing that the solid training of the Taiwan Police College is the bedrock of public safety.
