“Playing and Learning – Shadow” is installed on Wanxing connecting sky bridge. This work presents children with an experience of fantasy and transitional space. The hands of a magician create a magical process of transformation - the interconnectedness of light and shade and its evolution into a profusion of color. This makes use of shadow distortion to emphasize how two hands can create a multitude of amazing special effects. The piece utilizes the shadows caused by the interplay of sunlight and the work, so that the changing position of the sun or hands creates a multiplicity of shadows. In the face of this multicolored stimulation the corridor space becomes a dreamlike tunnel to a magical world.
