The work “Playing and Learning – Color” is mainly made up small dots in the primary colors of red, yellow and blue. It seeks convey the painting concept of mixed colors and the basic concept of shape as defined by points, lines and surfaces. Abstraction is one of the most important expressive forms in creating art. In “Playing and Learning – Color” , the pictures made up of countless small circles appear to be abstract, but seen from a more open-minded perspective similar scenes can often be found in the natural world. The work is installed in an arts and crafts classroom where children learn about colors, teaching them about the great diversity of artistic expression.
