I have enjoyed flying a kite since I was a boy. Sometimes I fantasized being a kite myself, gliding across the sky and looking down to the ground. This inspired the creation of “Flying Kites, at Home in the Sky ”. When a passenger steps onto the upward-moving escalator, he or she would enjoy a fabulous view of Dahu Park through the glass wall, as if he or she were flying with the kites. The rays of the sun refract from the glass wall and project beautifully onto the natural surroundings of the Park. The glass wall resembles a big aquarium looking from the outside. Incidentally, the kites within give the beholder a make-believe image of aquatic animals floating here and there in the tank, adding a delightful touch to the work.
